SPRING DANCE PROGRAM
Our Spring dance Program is
LEAP OF FAITH!

In LEAP OF FAITH, 5 orphans are awarded scholarships to The Academy of Performing Arts in London.  This production shows the 5 prphans and their fellow students auditioning and performing for their end of year productions.  Come enjoy dancer's ages 3-18 perform ballet, tap & jazz routines.

REFLECTIONS OF SOUL Ballet Academy offers two different DANCE PROGRAMS.  

                  

ROS offers 6 Dance Class Levels and ROS Classes are divided up into 5 Age Divisions.

 

THE OPEN PROGRAM

is designed for the recreational student who wishes to learn, have fun and is looking for an artistic outlet.  Adult Classes are also offered in this division.  Classes in the Open Program help the student to develop body and simple muscle awareness, strengthen motor skills and develop basic dance technique.   Students will find focus, attention span, creativity and basic dance vocabulary improved in these classes.   Classes offered in the Open Program are:  Jazz, Tap, Conditioning, Yoga, Dance with Me, Fitness Classes & Irish Step Dance.  One class per week is required of any class in the Open Program.    Ballet & Tap may be offered as a Combo Class for ages 3-6.  Jazz & Tap may be offered as a Combo Class for all age groups. 

All Classes in the OPEN PROGRAM are 45 min long.

THE ACADEMY PROGRAM

is the ballet program designed for the more serious ballet student who wants to achieve continuous progression through structured and traditional training in Classical Ballet Technique.  

The Ballet Methods of  French, Cecchetti, Russian and The Royal Academy of Dance will be taught.  Conditioning Ballet Technique Classes are also required for every ACADEMY dancer, starting at age 7.

Students in this program are required to show commitment, desire, passion, energy, dancer readiness in all ability levels in order to stay in this program.  ACADEMY PROGRAM classes encourage the students to set personal goals, improve classical ballet technique, develop and improve muscle memory, improve core strength & flexibility and learn dance vocabulary. Students will also be required to demonstrate ballet technique during ROS Testing Sessions held twice per year.

The Children Division classes for ages 3-6 will include  Pre-Ballet, Ballet & Creative Movement.

Student, Teen & Pre-Teen Divisions will include Classical Ballet, Contemporary and Modern Dance.

​

Classes offered in ACADEMY are Classical Ballet, Progressing Ballet Technique,Pointe               

 Pointe Classes, depending upon your dance level are 30, 45 & 60 minutes. 

The Required Classes for ACADEMY: are Classical Ballet & Progressing Ballet Technique.                

The Required Classical Ballet & Progressing Ballet Technique Classes are 60 minutes each.

DANCERS MAY ENROLL IN CLASSES FROM BOTH PROGRAMS

Some dancers may be moved up a division, even if they are younger

Class placement is determined by age, technical ability and the number of registrations received.                 The Director decides placement level for all students.

WALK IN CLASSES: Any Student (age 8-18) unwilling or unable to commit to the requirements  of the ACADEMY PROGRAM or OPEN PROGRAM  will only be allowed to attend WALK IN CLASSES.  Students enrolled in OPEN or ACADEMY may take a Walk-in Class for an extra class or when they have had an absence from one of their regular classes.
